The Warping Square Mini is your answer to space issues. It clamps to the back beam of your loom and along with the included beaming arm functions the same as our full size Square. The recommended minimum width for you loom is 36 inches, though it will work on looms as small as 30 inches. The same as it's big brother the Square Mini requires no moving pegs or spools to change warp length. It has an inner square consisting four fixed pegs. To change warp length you simply wrap around the desired number of inner pegs each time you come through the reed. You then use as a standard warping wheel spinning on the outer hands to reach your warp length.
We believe in accuracy and the Warping Square Mini will give you smooth, accurate and adjustable resistance. The heart of the Square is the hub. It is a heavy duty ball bearing hub that spins freely counterclockwise, but has an adjustable friction mechanism for warping in the clockwise rotation (no tension box needed). To increase resistance you simply turn the black knob. The Warping Square has a built in cross maker, it has a digital counter, and comes with a 10 and 12 dent reed.
The Warping Square Mini can warp 40 yards at a time.
It also works great for winding skeins as you can flip over or remove the hands, no tools necessary, so that the skein can be slid off.
What else? You can get it motorized! The motorized version is variable speed from about 5 - 100 rpms. It operates via a foot pedal and makes warping and skein winding much easier.
